When one thinks of tablets, one almost automatically thinks iPads. Android tablets for the longest time, never received the due attention they deserved, until now. Several major brands including Samsung, and more recently OnePlus have launched capable Android tablets. The most recent brand to jump on the bandwagon happens to be Oppo, with its new Oppo Pad Air 2.
Oppo Pad Air 2 announced
The Oppo Pad Air 2 is essentially a rebadged OnePlus Pad Go, which was launched in India in October 2023. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 chipset and comes with either 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of storage, or 8GB of RAM and either 128 or 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. Under the hood of the Oppo Pad 2 is a large 8,000mAh battery with support for 33W SuperVOOC fast charging.
The display is an 11.4-inch 2.4K unit with a resolution of 2,408 x 1,720 pixels, a 90Hz refresh rate, and 400 nits of peak brightness. For audio, is a quad-speaker setup with support for Dolby Atmos.

Talking about optics, on the rear is a single 8MP camera, while the front gets an 8MP camera for selfies and video calls. The Oppo’s latest tablet ships running on Android 13-based ColorOS 13.2 straight out of the box.
Oppo Pad Air 2 pricing and availability
The latest offering from Oppo, the Pad Air 2 can be had in two colourways – space grey and streamer silver. In China, the device is priced at CNY 1,299 (approximately Rs 15,000) for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The 8GB variants are priced at CNY 1,499 (approximately Rs 17,000) and CNY 1,699 (approximately Rs 20,000), depending on the storage option one chooses.
