Oppo has introduced a new smartphone in its K series, called the Oppo K12 Plus. As the ‘Plus’ in the name suggests, this is essentially the Oppo K12, but with a bigger battery. There’s an interesting design feature that makes this phone standout among the crowd. Read on to find out.
Oppo K12 Plus design
This standout design feature is what Oppo calls a self-developed shock-absorbing diamond structure and a safety airbag design. Together, they provide an all-around drop protection to the new Oppo phone.
The shock-absorbing design helps cope with the high-speed collision between the smartphone and the ground. An additional reinforcement also helps reduce the damage to the motherboard when the phone accidentally takes a fall.
Oppo claims that the new K12 Plus has been put through rigorous tests, and it has passed 3,00,000 button press tests along with 20,000 USB plug-in tests, and 7.38 million screen on-and-off tests. This has resulted in the K12 Plus being able to charge and work normally at minus 20-degree Celsius temperature.
The Oppo K12 Plus has even received the Swiss SGS five-star whole machine anti-fall and fall certification. And an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance.
Oppo K12 Plus key features, specifications
Besides the design, the smartphone comes with features like 6.7-inch 120Hz fullHD+ AMOLED display, 1,100 nits of peak brightness, and wet touch control. Under the hood is a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage onboard. It can be expanded by up to 1TB via a microSD card.

The smartphone comes with an AI eraser that lets you create emojis by creating a cutout of the person, pet, or object from photos.
Backing up the device is a 6,400mAh battery with 80W wired and 10W reverse wired charging support.
