Oppo F27 Pro+ 5G is a rugged phone made for the accident-prone

Oppo has just launched the Oppo F27 Pro+ 5G, a smartphone that’s made to survive anything from accidental splashes and impacts to submersion and drops. When you’re not busy tossing it around, it also happens to be a fairly powerful device for day-to-day tasks.

Here’s everything you need to know about the new Oppo F27 Pro+ 5G, including features, specifications, pricing and availability.

Oppo F27 Pro+ 5G: What’s new?

The Oppo F27 Pro+ 5G comes with a 6.7-inch FHD display that sports a 3D curved OLED panel. It also comes with 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling. There is also 950 nits peak brightness and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection, along with an in-display fingerprint scanner.

The phone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset, which is paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. There is also Android 14-based ColorOS 14, and a 5,000mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging.

Coming to the cameras, the Oppo F27 Pro+ 5G sports a dual camera setup on the back with a 64MP main camera and a 2MP secondary camera. There is also an 8MP front camera for selfies and video calls.

How rugged is the phone?

The highlight of the phone is the durability aspect. This includes an IP69 rating, which protects the phone against splashes of water and submersion, as well as fine dust particles. The phone also has MIL-STD-810H certification, which gives it a much better chance of surviving drops and impacts with hard surfaces, like the floor or a road.

These features, along with the Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection on the screen, make the Oppo F27 Pro+ 5G one of the most durable Android phones out there right now.

Pricing and availability

The Oppo F27 Pro+ 5G is priced at Rs 27,999 for the 8GB/128GB variant, and Rs 29,999 for the 8GB/256GB variant. The phone will be available in Dusk Pink and Midnight Navy colours, and will be available with leading retailers from June 20.

If the ruggedness and durability of the phone is not as important to you, you can also consider alternatives like the Nothing Phone 2a or the OnePlus Nord CE 4, both of which offer other perks like a unique design or better performance.
