OnePlus Summer Launch event: What to expect

OnePlus is launching its next batch of devices later this week in India during the OnePlus Summer launch event. The event will see the launch of the much-awaited OnePlus Nord 4 smartphone, along with a number of other devices.

Ahead of the event, which is scheduled to take place tomorrow on July 16, here’s where to watch the event and what to expect during the launch.

OnePlus Summer Launch event: What to expect?

OnePlus is expected to launch four new devices today, as hinted at on the official OnePlus India website. The highlight of the four is the OnePlus Nord 4, but we will also see the new OnePlus Watch 2R, the OnePlus Nord Buds 3 Pro, and the OnePlus Pad 2, a premium tablet which will succeed the OnePlus Pad.

With the OnePlus Nord 4, the brand has gone back to one of its early designs. The OnePlus 3 and 3T series, to be precise. Teasers and images of the phone have revealed a metallic design, coupled with a dual-tone look on the back panel with a glass top and a textured metal back plate. The phone also looks flat from the sides, with no curved edges.

Recent leaks have suggested that the OnePlus Nord 4 will be available in three colourways, including the silver one the brand has been flaunting on social media. The phone is also touted to be the slimmest Nord phone, and will come with four years of Android updates and six years of security updates.
