OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite 5G launched in India with aqua touch display

OnePlus launched its midrange OnePlus Nord CE4 earlier this year, and now, the company has taken the wraps off its latest Lite-series Nord-series device – the OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite 5G. Here’s everything you need to know about this Android phone.

OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite 5G features, key specifications

Under the hood of the OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite 5G is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset coupled with an Adreno 619 GPU, with peak speeds of 2.2Ghz.  It comes in two variants – both with 8GB of RAM, and either 128GB or 256GB of storage. Storage on the device can be expanded up to 2TB though, via the microSD card slot.

Powering the device is a 5,500mAh battery with support for 80W SuperVOOC charge, which OnePlus claims can charge the device in about 20 minutes. The company also claims that the phone can provide for up to 20 hours of continuous YouTube playback or up to 48 hours of video calling, on a single charge.

What’s cool though, this time around, the base OnePlus Nord device also supports reverse charging. That means, using the device, you can also charge another smartphone, a pair of earphones, or other accessories, albeit only at a 5W charging speed.

The device, housed in a flat, curved frame, gets a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 2,100 nits, one of the highest in the segment. It also gets Aqua Touch Display technology, found on the higher-end OnePlus 12R and flagship OnePlus 12. Aqua Touch helps prevent ghost touches when using the phone in the rain, or at the gym with sweaty hands.

For audio, there is a dual stereo-speaker setup, and a 3.5mm audio jack as well. The phone, OnePlus says, also supports turning up the sound output by 300 per cent, using the volume key.

Coming to optics, on the rear, the latest Nord smartphone gets a 50MP Sony LYT-600 primary sensor, along with a 2MP depth sensor. On the front is a 16MP sensor, for selfies and video calls. The OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite 5G comes running on Android 14- based OxygenOS 14. The company, however, makes no mention of  how many years of software and security updates it gets

OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite 5G: Pricing and availability

The OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite 5G is available in Mega Blue, Super Silver and Ultra Orange colourways. It is priced at Rs 19,999 for the 128GB storage variant, whereas the 256GB storage variant retails for Rs 22,999.

The device goes on sale on starting 12PM, on June 27. It can be purchased from OnePlus’ website, its official stores, as well as all other major e-commerce portals and partner retail outlets across the country. A few other options one can consider in the price range are the Redmi Note 13 5G and the Realme 12+ 5G.
