OnePlus has rolled out the latest Android 15-based OxygenOS 15 update for OnePlus’ affordable smartphones – the OnePlus Nord 4 and Nord CE 4. This update comes after a successful Closed Beta Testing (CBT) programme that ran for a month.
With the latest stable update, users gain access to a lot of new features and changes. If you are a Nord 4 or Nord CE 4 user, read on to see what’s in store for you.
What’s new with Android 15-based OxygenOS 15 update, how to update?
The Android 15-based OxygenOS 15 update for the OnePlus Nord 4 and Nord CE 4 brings some visual enhancements, including new system animations and swipe consistency for third-party apps and apps with WebView interfaces.
The update also brings a parallel drawing architecture, enabling smooth switching between multiple apps. The feature also works for widgets and folders on your home screen. Further, there’s a new Split mode added to the UI that separates notification drawers and quick setting toggles, for those who want to keep things clutter-free.
Both the Nord 4 and the Nord CE 4 get new Flux themes that offer high-quality themes with several customisation options. Flux themes not only integrate well with the home screen, but also with lock screen and Always-On Display.
Apart from this, the update adds live alerts, a feature similar to iPhones. Live alerts stay at the top, displaying and actively updating the latest information. So, you can see how long it will take for your Swiggy or Zomato order to be delivered at the top of your screen.

The update also adds new Floating Windows gestures that make it easier for you to access in-app contents. For instance, if you receive an SMS, you can swipe down the notification banner to open it in a floating window. If you want to enlarge it, simply wipe it down again.
Besides this, there’s a new iOS file sharing feature inside OnePlus Share that lets you to easily share live photos with nearby iPhones. Lastly, the update brings iOS-like charge limits to the Nord 4 and Nord CE 4, so you can easily maintain the battery health on your devices.
If you are still wondering, then no. The Android 15-based OxygenOS 15 update does not bring AI features to Nord 4 and Nord CE 4, and that’s the catch. It appears that OnePlus is keeping its AI suite limited to its premium models.
Nonetheless, you still get many features, and we think they are enough for you to update right away. To update your Nord devices to the latest OxygenOS 15, you don’t need to do any workarounds.
You should receive an update notification since this is a stable update. However, if you don’t, you can always update manually. To do that, head to Settings > About device > Software update.
