OnePlus 12R gets a new variant with more storage

OnePlus launched the OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R earlier this year. While the former is the brand’s newest flagship, the OnePlus 12R offered a good ‘budget-flagship’ experience for those who wanted a good all-round smartphone with OxygenOS.

The phone initially launched in two variants, but now, the brand has also made the phone available in a third variant with more storage. Here’s what you need to know about it.

OnePlus 12R 8GB/256GB variant launched

The OnePlus 12R was previously made available in only 8GB RAM/128GB storage and 16GB RAM/256GB storage variants. So, those who wanted extra storage had to purchase the 16GB RAM variant, which starts at Rs 45,999.

Now, there’s a new OnePlus 12R 8GB/256GB variant, which sits between the other two variants and is priced at Rs 42,999. Apart from the extra storage compared to the base variant, everything else about the phone remains the same.

OnePlus 12R key features and specifications

The OnePlus 12R comes with a 6.78-inch, 1.5K AMOLED display. This LTPO 4.0 panel comes with 120Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, and a 5,000mAh battery with support for 100W fast charging.

The OnePlus 12R also sports a triple camera setup including a 50MP Sony IMX890 main camera with OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation), an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro camera. There’s also a 16MP front camera for selfies and video calls.

The OnePlus 12R starts at Rs 39,999 for the 8GB/128GB variant, while the 8GB/256GB and 16GB/256GB variants are priced at Rs 42,999 and Rs 45,999 respectively.
