It’s been a week since OnePlus unveiled its latest flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 12. While there is still a lot of hype around the device for its monstrous specs, there seems to be another device on its way, rumoured to be the OnePlus 12R. While not a lot is known about this upcoming device, a new leak hints at its camera specs.
OnePlus 12R camera specifications leaked
As per a post on X (formerly Twitter), the OnePlus 12R is likely to feature the usual triple-camera setup at the rear, with a 50MP Sony IMX890 primary sensor, an 8MP Sony IMX355 ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 32MP Sony IMX709 telephoto lens, with 2X optical zoom. In addition to this, the leak also suggests that the device will be capable of recording in both, a 1080p resolution and 4K at 30 and 60 fps.
The triple camera setup on the OnePlus 12 in comparison, comprises of a 50MP Sony LYT-808 primary lens, a 48MP Sony IMX581 ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 64MP Sony OV64B 3x periscope telephoto lens.
OnePlus 12R expected features and specifications
Details about the OnePlus 12R remain scarce as of yet. However, the device is expected to feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The device is also expected to be powered by a 5,500mAh battery, with support for 100W fast charging – the same as the flagship OnePlus 12. The display on the device is expected to be a large 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED unit.

If reports are to be believed, the device, while it might be relatively cheaper, with small downgrades over the OnePlus 12, including the camera sensor, will still be able to give most flagship devices in the larger market a run for their money.
