OnePlus recently launched the new OnePlus 12 in India. The new device doesn’t take a big detour in terms of design, but brings a lot of small features to the flagship. Sadly, a lot of these are easy to miss if you simply go over the phone’s specifications.
If you’re considering buying the new OnePlus 12, here’s a look at the best features the phone offers, so you can decide if you should pick any other flagship over this phone. Let’s begin!
Aqua Touch Display
The OnePlus 12 comes with a high-res panel that has a lot to boast about, from 4,500nits peak brightness to 2160Hz PWM dimming. However, what stood out for us is the brand’s new Aqua Touch technology.

The new panel allows users to use the phone effectively, even when the screen or your fingers (or both) are wet. This makes it much easier to use the OnePlus 12 in the rain, on a beach, or even near a pool. We hope all phones adopt something similar.
Fast wired and wireless charging
Many flagships offer fast charging when the phone is plugged in. However, with the OnePlus 12, users get a fast-charging experience with both wired and wireless modes. This doesn’t confine you to the cable when you’re in a rush.
While the phone can charge at up to 100W on wired charging, you also get up to 50W wireless charging speeds on the brand’s proprietary wireless charger. Yes, it is a separate purchase, but it’s nice to have an option for those who swear by wireless charging.
All round cameras
The OnePlus 12 comes with a 50MP main camera with Sony’s latest LYT-808 sensor, combined with optical image stabilisation (OIS), an F1.6 aperture and 1/1.4-inch sensor size. This allows for a versatile experience, including better night-time shots with the larger sensor size.
This is accompanied by 48MP ultrawide and 64MP 3X telephoto sensors, which ensure that your wider and zoomed shots also have a high-resolution. Lastly, Hasselblad Gen-4 support should also give fans the unique colour profile associated with Hasselblad cameras.
Trinity Engine
OnePlus has also offered software-level tuning on the OnePlus 12, offering a more optimised experience between the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, the 16GB RAM and the UFS 4.0 speed storage units.

OnePlus claims that the implementation offers high battery life by using juice for everyday tasks. This should translate to about 47 hours of everyday use, 10 hours of GPS navigation, three hours of gaming and 19 hours of streaming on platforms like YouTube.
A big battery
Yes, many flagship phones including the OnePlus 12 come with fast charging, but it is a big battery that is simply missing on high-end phones these days. This is done to keep these phones slim, and to allow for bigger, better internal components for things like the camera.
However, the OnePlus 12 comes with a huge 5,400mAh battery, which is a lot of capacity for not just flagships, but any smartphone. This, coupled with multiple software optimisations should make this a two-day phone for most users (on moderate usage, of course).
These are some of the best features of the OnePlus 12. You can also check out our detailed story on the OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R to check out all the specifications, pricing and availability details.
