OnePlus 11 launch event in India: What to expect

OnePlus is expected to launch the OnePlus 11 and OnePlus 11R on February 7 during its Cloud 11 launch event. However, those aren’t the only products the brand is set to unveil. There are in fact, a total of five new OnePlus products, including two smartphones, one tablet, one smart TV, and a pair of new TWS earbuds. Here’s everything we can expect from the February 7 Cloud 11 launch event.

OnePlus 11

The OnePlus 11 is the highlight of the Cloud 11 launch event. The new smartphone is set to be the brand’s 2023 flagship and will take the mantle from 202’s OnePlus 10 Pro. OnePlus reportedly has no plans for a ‘Pro’ model this year, instead launching a lone flagship model. This will be the first time since the OnePlus 6-series that OnePlus skips a Pro model of its latest flagship.

That said, the OnePlus 11 is expected to pack top-end specifications all the way. Expected specifications include the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and a 3rd-Gen Hasselblad camera system on the back. The phone is also expected to support four years of Android updates via OxygenOS updates and five years of Android security patches.

OnePlus 11R

Succeeding the ‘budget flagship’ OnePlus 10R from 2022 is the new OnePlus 11R. The smartphone will be the second in the 11-series and while it will sit under the OnePlus 11, the 11R is still expected to be a pretty powerful phone. This is because OnePlus has confirmed that it will sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset inside, along with up to 16GB RAM. Further details on the OnePlus 11R are currently a mystery, but we should know more during the event.

OnePlus TV 65 Q2 Pro

The OnePlus TV 65 Q2 Pro is a new Google TV-powered, 65-inch smart television that will come with a new design with narrow bezels and other elements. While not much is revealed about this TV officially yet, it is expected to be a flagship-level premium TV, and could be priced accordingly as well.

OnePlus Buds Pro 2

The OnePlus Buds Pro were the first premium TWS earbuds launched by the brand, and less than two years later, OnePlus is refreshing the audio accessory with the OnePlus Buds Pro 2. The new earbuds are expected to offer a more premium audio experience, being co-developed by Hans Zimmer and featuring a new MelodyBoost Dual Driver architecture. The OnePlus Buds Pro 2 will also support Cinematic Spatial Audio.

OnePlus Pad

Perhaps the most mysterious product of the lot is the OnePlus Pad. The device has been confirmed for the Cloud 11 launch event on the brand website, but OnePlus has kept mum on any details. The OnePlus Pad is set to the brand’s first tablet in India and based on the small clip OnePlus teased, it is expected to be a premium tablet with a powerful chipset, a single camera and flash module on the back and stylus support, along with support for accessories including a keyboard cover with a built-in trackpad that could allow the tablet to be used like a laptop.

The OnePlus Cloud 11 launch event kicks off at 7:30pm IST on February 7, and can be streamed on OnePlus’ social media handles. The new products launched during the event are also expected to be available to purchase soon after.
