All eyes will be on OnePlus this month as it takes the wraps off its next flagship smartphone series in China. Expected to be called OnePlus 11, the series is likely to include one or more devices. Turns out, it is not all smartphones though. If a recent report is to be believed, OnePlus will also be unveiling its latest SuperVOOC fast charger.
Why is it important?
The OnePlus 100W SuperVOOC charger is garnering quite a lot of attention due to the fact that it is equipped with dual ports – USB Type-C port and USB Type-A port. One may therefore simultaneously make use of both ports. It is also said to offer 65W PD charging, allowing users to charge compatible non-OnePlus devices including smartphones, tablets, TWS earbuds, as well as powerbanks.
The latest 100W dual-port fast charger from OnePlus is expected to be able to charge the OnePlus 11’s rumoured 5,000mAh battery from 0-50% in just 10 minutes, and to 100% in just 25 minutes. However, there has been no official confirmation from the company if it will bundle the charger inside the smartphone’s retail box. Having said that, last year’s OnePlus 10T did come with a 150W fast charger bundled in the box.
OnePlus 11 rumoured specs and features
The upcoming OnePlus 11 5G is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 gen 2 chipset. It is likely to be offered with a 6.7-inch QHD+ AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. Furthermore, the device is expected to feature a punch-hole camera cut at the top of the display in the front, while sporting a triple rear camera setup on the back. This rear setup might include a 50MP primary lens with a Hasselblad sensor coupled with a 48MP ultra-wide sensor as well as a 32MP telephoto shooter. Under the hood, the device is expected to be offered with 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256 GB USB 4.0 storage.
