NVIDIA Broadcast can turn your den into a virtual studio

Think of NVIDIA Broadcast as a program that turns any room of your home into a studio to produce your next masterpiece. Whether it’s for podcasts or any other kind of live-streams, NVIDIA Broadcast comes equipped with several advanced features that ensure an experience.

Two of these features are Noise Removal and Room Echo Removal that can help identify and eliminate unwanted ambient noises that disrupt audio quality in videos. These include keyboard noises, microphone static, or even the sound of your laptop’s fan and people talking in the background. 

Features such as Background Removal, Background Blur and Background Replacement makes it possible for you to leverage AI to change your background, blur it out or completely replace it for streams.  

NVIDIA Broadcast also gets an Auto Frame feature, which can crop and zoom in on the frame to ensure all the focus remains on you, even if you happen to be moving around. Eye Contact, meanwhile, uses AI to ensure you always appear as though you’re looking into the camera. This is great for creators who say, use a teleprompter.

NVIDIA Canvas: A full-fledged AI-enabled painting app

Unlike AI-powered image generators that work on prompts, NVIDIA Canvas is a painting programme. Don’t be fooled, however, for this is no ordinary painting app. 

The AI-enabled app allows you to change a mere few strokes of your brush into a realistic landscape image. And what’s cool is, should you not be happy with the output, you can tweak elements in the landscape thus generated in real-time. 

Say you generate an image depicting a day by the beach, watching the sea and the sunset. Well, with just a few clicks here and a few there, you can transform it into a screen straight out of Frozen, with a snowy landscape and peaks, and, well, a frozen lake. What’s cool is, the app also lets you tweak and change these elements in different layers, to keep them separate.

That’s not the coolest bit, though. Say you create a landscape, but you want to give your viewers different perspectives of it. Canvas also allows you to create wraparound environments, and export them to any 3D designing app as a rectangular environment map. Based on these maps, artists can also change the ambient light or reflections on the landscape, as per their preferences, to make their work all the more life-like. 

Note that NVIDIA Canvas is still in Beta, but the program is accessible on any laptop which is equipped with an NVIDIA RTX-series or NVIDIA GeForce RTX-series GPU. However, it doesn’t mention much beyond that for now. You can download the app here.
