Nothing has announced the Community Edition Project for the Phone (3a). This will be the second edition of the project, as the first edition was announced exactly a year ago. For those unaware, the Community Edition Project lets users participate in designing a special version of a Nothing Phone.
Last year, we saw the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus Community Edition, which featured a glow-in-the-dark design. This time around, we are expecting to see something even more crazy with the Nothing Phone (3a). Here’s how interested users can participate in Nothing’s Community Edition Project.
All about the Nothing Phone (3a) Community Edition Project
The Nothing Phone (3a) Community Edition Project is going to be carried out between March 26 and April 23. Those interested in designing the Phone (3a) Community Edition can submit their designs between the aforementioned dates.
The project will be carried out in four stages, starting with hardware design. This will include the actual phone, where users can play around with the design of the theme of the Glyph interface. Users can also choose special colours for the device.
The next stage will be accessory design, followed by software design and marketing campaigns. The software design includes wallpaper and widget designs, and a marketing campaign will let Nothing get promotional ideas from the community.
This process will let you bring your creative design for the Phone (3a) to life. However, since this will be a project, several users will be submitting their design, and only the best one will be considered.

The design that’s selected will be brought to life by launching a Community Edition of the Phone (3a), which will go up for sale later. The winners will receive a cash prize of GBP 1,000 (about Rs 1,10,000).
Notably, the Phone (2a) Plus Community Edition was launched for Rs 29,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. We’ll have to wait and see how much the Phone (3a) Community Edition will be priced.
