Nothing recently confirmed its plans to launch the next smartphone, called Nothing Phone (2a) Plus, on July 31. This new device, expected to be a beefed-up version of the Nothing Phone (2a), will launch four months after the latter.
While not much was known about the Phone (2a) Plus until now, Nothing has finally given us a little sneak peek at a few key specs of the device. Read on to know more.
Nothing Phone (2a) Plus: What’s known so far
Nothing has confirmed that the Phone (2a) Plus will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7350 Pro chipset, which is based on the 4nm TSMC Gen 2 process. The SoC is said to offer 10 per cent faster CPU performance than the Phone (2a).
The Mali-G610 MC4 GPU, on the other hand, will run at up to 1.3GHz, making it 30 per cent faster than the one on the Nothing Phone (2a). This will ensure much faster and smoother gaming performance.

Additionally, the Phone (2a) Plus will also get up to 12GB RAM, with an option to increase it by 8GB, with RAM booster technology. That’s not all. The company has also confirmed that the device will get 4K resolution support for video recording on both, the front and rear camera, as well as HDR images and HDR10+ playback.
What could the Nothing Phone (2a) look like?
Not much is known about the design of the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus, something for which Nothing has stood out all these years. However, a recent post on X (formerly Twitter) by Nothing co-founder Akis Envangelidis, says the new phone comes with improvements, but not necessarily on the design front.
This suggests that the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus’ design won’t be vastly different from that of the Phone (2a), although it is expected to have a larger display.
When is the Nothing Phone (3) coming out?
Nothing loyalists have been eagerly waiting for the Nothing Phone (3) – the successor to the flagship Nothing Phone (2), launched well over a year ago. However, they will have to wait for the successor to the company’s latest flagship until 2025.

This is perhaps because Nothing seems to be focusing all its energies on the mid-range and budget segment for now, with the upcoming Nothing Phone (2a) Plus, the Nothing Phone (2a), and the modular CMF Phone 1.
