Nothing CEO Carl Pei just took to X (previously Twitter) to show us the very first look at Nothing OS 3.0. The new software skin, is set to be the biggest update since Nothing OS 2.0 and will bring plenty of new features and customisation options. Now, we finally have a look at some of these.
Pei’s leaked posts show us plenty of customisation options for the lock screen, including the ability to set up multiple analogue and digital clocks, widgets and even both. The shortcuts on the lock screen are also more customisable now, and we also have some new digital clock fonts.

Nothing’s products are known for their unique design, and transparent components. However, a key aspect of the brand’s identity in smartphones, is the software.
Nothing OS came from humble beginnings that were very close to stock Android. Over time, however, the skin has grown to be one of the best skins on Android phones out there in terms of customisation and aesthetics.
Nothing OS 3.0 coming in September
The series of posts also revealed that we will get a full-fledged look at Nothing OS 3.0 in a larger announcement in September. This also more-or-less affirms that Nothing OS 3.0 could be based on Android 15, which also means we should have more privacy and security driven features.
In other news, Nothing sub-brand CMF have been gearing up to launch their first smartphone, likely to be called the CMF Phone 1. Unlike the Nothing Phone (2) or Nothing Phone (2a), this device is expected to be an affordable one, and as per leaks, will ditch the transparent back panels and Glyph lights for a slightly more minimal look.
