Nothing has launched its very first open wearable stereo earbuds, and it’s calling it the Nothing Ear (open). Equipped with the Nothing Open Sound Technology, the Nothing Ear (open) provides an immersive audio experience while making sure the users are aware of the environment.

After the only-buds and stick design, the new diaphragm design is a stand-out factor. Let’s check out some more features offered by the earbuds in detail.

Nothing Ear (open) key features, specs

The new design is a custom patent-pending diaphragm with a titanium coating. It features an ultra-light driver and stepped design. The ear hook features a nickel-titanium wire that makes the earbuds flexible and resilient. It comes with a dynamic driver measuring 14.2 mm and showcases a semi-transparent look.

The earbuds use a Clear Voice Technology for call noise cancellation with three microphones including wind noise reduction to improve audio clarity.

With changes in the design, the earbuds get a few feature upgrades. It allows you to choose between Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency Mode. Pinch controls are enabled for media playback, volume controls, call management and launch the voice assistant.

Each earbud weighs 8.1 grams and are IP54 rated which means they are dust and water-resistant. Coming to connectivity, it can pair over Bluetooth 5.3 with support for dual device pairing. It also features a 120ms Low Lag Mode which is automatically enabled in Nothing Phones and adaptable for other users.

The newly launched earbuds are powered through a 64mAh battery that offers up to eight hours of playback and six hours of talk time.

The 635mAh charging case is said to offer up to 30 hours of total payback or up to 24 hours of talk time. Nothing claims that with a charge of 10 minutes fast charge, the earbuds can provide up to two hours of playback.

Like the previous Nothing buds, Ear (open) is supported by Nothing X app where you can customise controls and update their firmware. The earbuds are integrated with ChatGPT which is exclusive to Nothing phones. They also support Find My network.

Nothing Ear (open) price, availability

Available in White colour, the Nothing Ear (open) is priced at Rs 17,999. The earbuds will be rolled out on October 1 and will be available across online and offline retail channels.
