Feature phones bring back a flood of memories, but most importantly, they remind us of simpler times. Among the names that famously stand out, Nokia handsets remain best known for being some of the most reliable devices to date. That said, HMD is still building its ‘old-school’ feature phones and has recently added two more to this list — Nokia 220 and 235 4G.
However, along with a new, yet timeless design, they also come equipped with upgrades that keep them in line with the times. The feature phones not only come with the nostalgia of Snake but also get YouTube, UPI and in-built Cloud apps. Here’s everything you need to know:
Nokia 220 and 235 4G: Key features and specifications
Both Nokia 220 and 235 feature phones come with 2.8-inch QVGA IPS LCD screens. They also get the Unisoc T107 chipsets and support for 64MB of RAM with 128MB internal storage. If required, users additionally have the option of upgrading to a 32GB microSD card. While both phones largely look the same, the Nokia 235 sports a 2MP rear camera sensor. The 220, on the other hand, gets an LED torch in its place on the back panel.

The phones have access to cloud apps, including YouTube, as well as YouTube Shorts for entertainment. Apart from these, users can also make the most of the weather, news and, of course, the Snake game for entertainment. Additionally, they also come pre-installed with UPI applications approved by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI).
Both the Nokia 220 and 235 phones come with a 3.5mm jack for wired earphones or headphones and users can still enjoy the radio or the MP3 Player available on the device.
Lastly, HMD has provided both the feature phones with a 1,450mAh removable battery and USB Type-C charging ports.
Nokia 220 and 235 4G: Price and availability
The Nokia 220 and 235 4G feature phones are priced at Rs 3,249 and Rs 3,749, respectively. The former comes in Peach and Black colour options, whereas the latter gets Blue, Purple and Black colourways. Both phones will be available in India starting today and can be purchased across major e-commerce portals online or offline at key retail outlets. Other options to consider within a similar price range include the SAREGAMA Carvaan CM281 or the I KALL K55.
