Netflix Games: How to play and what’s available

Netflix isn’t just about movies and TV shows. Not anymore that is. It’s now a gaming platform as well. To bring in new subscribers and add to the already popular streaming platform, Netflix launched Netflix Games in November 2021, which offers a huge collection of mobile games available to all subscribers at no extra cost.

With the gaming industry booming and generating billions in revenue, Netflix is jumping on the opportunity to keep its audience entertained in new ways. Since launching in 2021, Netflix Games has been building an impressive library that includes a great selection of indie favourites, quick arcade-style games and exclusive hits based on Netflix’s popular franchises that you won’t find anywhere else.

So, to help you get started, we’ve compiled this guide with everything you need to know about Netflix Games.

What is Netflix Games?

In a nutshell, Netflix Games is the company’s answer to traditional mobile gaming platforms, giving subscribers access to a wide variety of fun games without any extra charges. You can play these games on your Android smartphones or iPhones through the Netflix app. The library has a mix of original games made just for Netflix, and licensed ones from other publisher.

If you have an active Netflix subscription, you can access Netflix Games at no extra cost and enjoy the library with no ads (even if you’re on the ad-supported Standard tier), extra fees or in-app purchases. You’ll need an internet connection to download the games to your Android smartphone, tablet, iPhone or iPad. Once the games are downloaded, you can play as much as you want while your Netflix subscription is active. The games are available on all your account profiles, but not on profiles set up for kids. And if your adult profile has a PIN, you’ll need that to log in and start playing.

How to download and play Netflix Games on your phone or tablet

If you’ve opened the Netflix app on your phone or tablet, you might have noticed a games carousel on the Home tab, along with a dedicated Games tab where you can check out all the options. To explore and play Netflix Games, you’ll need an Android device running version 8.0 or later or an iPhone or iPad with iOS 15 or later.
