MWC has begun and Lenovo is back with its unique laptop concepts. This time, it has a solar-powered laptop that reserves power by absorbing solar energy. And if that’s not all, there’s also another laptop that features a foldable display, allowing users to experience a tall and much bigger screen when unfolded. Here’s everything you need to know about Lenovo’s new laptop concepts.
All about Lenovo’s Yoga Solar PC, ThinkBook Flip
The Lenovo Yoga Solar PC concept is exactly what it sounds like. A laptop that features a solar panel built into its lid. Lenovo has used the Back Contact Cell technology here to allow the panel to absorb sunlight.
In 20 minutes of direct sunlight, the laptop reserves enough power for up to one hour of video playback. There’s also the Dynamic Solar Tracking system that monitors current and voltage. Despite its unique solar-powered design, the laptop isn’t too thick or heavy. It has 15mm thickness and weighs just 1.22kg.
Lenovo didn’t reveal full specifications of the laptop, and as you’d expect, the Yoga Solar PC is just a concept and won’t be available for purchase anytime soon. In addition to this, Lenovo also showcased the ThinkBook Flip. The laptop features a foldable screen that unfolds into a tall panel for viewing and productivity.
Unlike some of the foldable laptops in the past, like the one from Asus, the ThinkBook Flip folds backwards. When fully folded, it can be used as a tablet device. As for its specifications, the laptop features an 18-inch OLED screen (when unfolded) and has a a 13.2-inch clamshell panel (when folded backwards). It turns into a 12.9-inch tablet when fully folded.

The ThinkBook Flip is powered by Intel’s Ultra 7 processor, paired with 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM and PCIe SSD storage. It also has a fingerprint reader for security, and comes with all the essential ports.
Like the Yoga Solar PC, the ThinkBook Flip is also a concept, and there are no availability details of the laptop yet. But stay tuned to Unboxed by Croma to know more about such laptops and to get all the on-ground coverage from MWC 2025.
