Microsoft launches new Windows app to access your PC on iPhone, Android, and Mac

Microsoft has launched a much-needed app for smartphones called the Windows app for accessing your system on the move. The app acts as a dedicated hub for Windows users to use their system from anywhere in the world. This means you can use most Windows apps like Word and PowerPoint, right from your smartphone or Mac.

Control your Windows PC from iPhone, Android, and Mac

Microsoft’s Windows app comes almost a year after Microsoft first began its testing. From what Microsoft showed in the following video, the Windows app works as if it’s a cloud PC that you can access to pick up where you left off on your home computer.

So, you can finish completing your notes in Word or start completing that school PPT, everything from your mobile device. The Windows app is now available on macOS for Mac devices and iOS for iPhones.

Android users may have to wait for a little longer as the Android version of the app has only entered the public preview mode now.

Windows app may not be for you, here’s why

While the app appears to make things convenient for you as a Windows user, don’t get too excited. Why? That’s because the Windows app is limited to Microsoft work and school accounts, which does make sense, since why would you use your PC from your phone without any work or for completing that assignment?
