MediaTek has been announcing a number of 5G chipsets for smartphones under its 7000 and 8000 series. The latest in the lineup is the new MediaTek Dimensity 7350, which comes with 2nd generation Arm v9 processors, and can clock speeds of up to 3.0GHz.
Here’s everything you need to know about the chipset and the phones it will power.
MediaTek Dimensity 7350: What’s new?
The MediaTek Dimensity 7350 comes with an octa core architecture and performance oriented Cortext A715 cores. The chipset also comes with a Mali G610 MC4 GPU and a MediaTek HyperEngine 5.0 gaming optimisations for faster and smoother running games.

The 3.0GHz clock speeds put it slightly behind the MediaTek Dimensity 8250 which was also launched earlier this year can clock 3.1GHz. However, the new 7350 will also likely be a more affordable chip.
The chipset also comes with new improvements for lower battery life consumption on 5G mobile data and Wi-Fi networks. There’s also MediaTek’s own NPU 657 for low-level AI workloads on the device. Although, no numbers on the capabilities of this NPU have been shared.
When put on a phone, the Dimensity 7350 will support up to LPDDR5 speed RAM modules as well as UFS 3.1 storage. The chip will also support up to 200MP main camera sensors, 4K video recording at up to 30 frames per second, as well as simultaneous video capture that will allow phones to record from both front and rear cameras at the same time.
The Dimensity 7350 will also support display resolutions of up to FHD+ and 144Hz refresh rates.
Other details, including which smartphones we will see the chip debut on, are still kept under wraps, but we do think the addition of the new chip will make competition in the mid-range segment much more interesting.
