Kicking things off in this new phase will be the highly anticipated Fantastic Four movie, where Robert Downey Jr. is rumoured to return as Doctor Doom. Here’s a look at every Marvel movie and TV show releasing in 2025.

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man
Continuing the momentum of animated hits like What If…? and X-Men ’97, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man promises to bring a fresh take on the iconic web-slinger.
The animated series is set outside the main MCU timeline and will explore an alternate timeline within the Multiverse Saga, posing a pivotal “what if” scenario: What if Norman Osborn, rather than Tony Stark, became Peter Parker’s mentor? The series will focus on Peter’s early days as Spider-Man, as he grapples with the weight of his powers and navigates his complex relationship with Osborn, who has his own darker approach to heroism.
Captain America: Brave New World
The next major MCU entry of 2025 will be Captain America: Brave New World, starring Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) as the new Captain America. Picking up after the events of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, the upcoming movie will see Sam grappling with the weight of his new mantle in a world that’s anything but predictable.
Sam gets pulled into a major international crisis, with President Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross (Harrison Ford) offering help to rebuild the Avengers. But their uneasy alliance starts to unravel as the story unfolds. Mackie’s Sam soon uncovers a dangerous global conspiracy, facing new foes like Sidewinder (Giancarlo Esposito) and the return of the Leader (Tim Blake Nelson).
Daredevil: Born Again
It’s been nearly six years since Daredevil wrapped up on Netflix, but Matt Murdock is finally returning to the streets of Hell’s Kitchen, this time, in the MCU. Daredevil: Born Again sees Charlie Cox returning as the iconic hero, with Vincent D’Onofrio once again playing the dangerous Kingpin, Wilson Fisk.
The new Disney+ series will feature a total of 18 episodes, picking up after the events of the Netflix series, but adding fresh challenges, new allies, and a darker vibe. The title Born Again comes from a legendary Daredevil comic arc where Kingpin pushes Matt to his limits by messing with his past and relationships.
Thunderbolts*
Thunderbolts* might be the most unpredictable movie Marvel has put out in a while, and honestly, that’s what’s got us excited. Directed by Jake Schreier, the upcoming title will mark the final movie entry in MCU’s Phase five.
The movie’s plot centres around a ragtag group of former villains and antiheroes, led by Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus). She brings together a crew of familiar faces, including Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), Red Guardian (David Harbour), Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), John Walker (Wyatt Russell), Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko), and Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen). Their mission starts out simple, but they quickly realise they’ve been set up, forcing this dysfunctional team to rely on their unpredictable skills to survive.
Ironheart
Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne), the genius MIT student we met in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, is getting her own Disney+ series, Ironheart. Set after Wakanda Forever, Riri is back in Chicago, fine-tuning her tech and balancing life as a young inventor. But things get complicated when she faces a new and formidable threat in Parker Robbins (Anthony Ramos) aka The Hood.
Fantastic Four: First Steps
Marvel Studios is finally bringing Fantastic Four: First Steps back to the big screen, kicking off Phase six and officially welcoming Marvel’s First Family to the MCU. The upcoming reboot is set to put a fresh spin on Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm, and Ben Grimm, while still honouring the heart of the team that helped launch Marvel’s universe.

Taking place in a retro 1960s setting, the movie will follow Reed (Pedro Pascal), Sue (Vanessa Kirby), Johnny (Joseph Quinn), and Ben (Ebon Moss-Bachrach), four regular people who gain extraordinary powers after a space expedition goes wrong.
Eyes of Wakanda
Black Panther: Eyes of Wakanda is a new animated series coming to Disney+ in 2025, exploring the untold history of Wakanda’s legendary warriors. Set in the MCU’s sacred timeline, this upcoming four-episode series will explore the heroes who protected Wakanda long before T’Challa became Black Panther.
From fierce fighters to the secretive War Dogs, the series will reveal their struggles to safeguard the kingdom’s vibranium at great personal cost. With thrilling action and tough moral choices, Eyes of Wakanda will bring a fresh perspective on the nation’s legacy, expanding the lore we first saw in Black Panther (2018).
Marvel Zombies
Marvel Zombies is an upcoming animated series that’ll take the Marvel Universe to some seriously dark places. Picking up from the What If…? episode “What If… Zombies?!”, this animated series will explore an alternate reality where a zombie virus has wiped out most of Earth’s heroes and villains. Now, a small group of survivors, led by Ms Marvel must fight their way through a world crawling with the undead, including zombified versions of Captain America, Scarlet Witch, and Iron Man.
Wonder Man
Wonder Man is about to bring the MCU to Hollywood like never before. Releasing sometime in December 2025, this new 10-episode Disney+ series, created by Shang-Chi director Destin Daniel Cretton and Andrew Guest, will follow Simon Williams (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II), a struggling actor with superpowers trying to make it big in Tinseltown. Set in Los Angeles, Simon’s world revolves around juggling his superhuman abilities with his goal of landing the lead role in a superhero TV show, playing none other than Wonder Man.

There’s also a lot more to look forward to in Phase six of the MCU, beyond 2025. While a lot of the details are still under wraps, Kevin Feige has confirmed some big projects are on the way. Avengers: Doomsday will kick things off on May 1, 2026, with the Russo brothers directing and Robert Downey Jr. returning but this time as Doctor Doom.
Next up is Spider-Man 4 in July 2026, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, followed by Avengers: Secret Wars on May 7, 2027. There are also untitled films lined up for 2028 that will continue the multiverse saga and introduce new stories. With so much still to come, the MCU is heading into an action-packed future that could potentially change everything we know.
