If there was ever a cliffhanger that felt like a lifetime, it was undoubtedly one from Made in Heaven Season 1. However, the Prime Video original series fans had a reason to rejoice today with the makers dropping the season two official trailer after four years of wait.

Whether you watch it on your smartphone, laptop or a large-screen television, it remains more opulent, larger-than-life, and, of course, worth the wait. Are you scratching your head, trying to remember how the first season ended? Know that you’re not the only one.

Made in Heaven season 1 round-up

Made in Heaven Season 1 introduced us to Tara Khanna (Sobhita Dhulipala) and Karan Mehra (Arjun Mathur), two wedding planners from South Delhi shown trying to make it big in the industry. Through the nine-episode season, the show delved into the intricacies of them juggling between traditions, predicaments and dilemmas within their personal lives.

Towards the end of season 1, Tara discovers an affair between her husband, Adil Khanna (Jim Sarbh), and Faiza Naqvi (Kalki Koechlin) after they’re involved in a car accident. Alternatively, Karan’s landlord Ramesh Gupta (Vinay Pathak), lies after he is caught filming secretly filming Karan, causing him to get arrested. Towards the end of the series, the protagonists are seen dealing with right-wing extremists opposing homosexuality who eventually end up trashing their workplace.

What to expect in Made in Heaven S2?

The Made in Heaven season 2 trailer premiered with Dhulipala and Mathur returning to screen as Tara and Karan. But all is not well in paradise, as trouble seems to be brewing owing to the previous season’s repercussions. The two-minute-long trailer showed us glimpses of various weddings, backed with lavish indulgence, oomph and grandeur.

While protagonists continue to dominate the overarching narrative of the show, this time around, fans can enjoy the on-screen presence of various guest actors as well. These include Radhika Apte, Dia Mirza, Mrunal Thakur, Shibani Dandekar, Sanjay Kapoor and Sameer Soni. With Mona Singh playing the ruthless auditor and Vijay Raaz as the extortionist, Tara and Karan have more professional and personal issues to deal with. The trailer also talks about social issues it will address, and we can’t wait for August 11 to arrive soon enough!
