Artificial intelligence is here to stay. AI has recently been making steady inroads into all our devices (and lives) and has gradually been moving from the cloud, right to our devices. Naturally, many of these devices have also begun to get dedicated AI buttons. An example that comes to mind is the 2024 Inspiron 14 Plus, and the XPS 2024 lineup of laptops from Dell, which come with a dedicated Microsoft Copilot key.
Now, another brand to jump on the bandwagon is Logitech, with the launch of a new mouse called the Signature AI Edition M750. The mouse, as the name suggests, gets a dedicated button to access AI features on your laptops and desktops.
Logitech Signature AI Edition M750 Mouse key features
The new Logitech M750 wireless mouse is part of Logitech’s Signature AI Edition lineup of peripherals. The mouse gets a new tool called the Logi AI Prompt Builder. The AI assistant is powered by OpenAI’s ChatGPT. A button on the top of the mouse can be used to access it directly, while another button on the side can also be used to access ChatGPT itself, directly.

The mouse has a fairly compact form factor, and to the unassuming eye, looks just about the same as any other mouse. It has two standard buttons and two on the side. The only giveaway is the teal-coloured button on top, used to access the Logi AI Prompt Builder tool.
Now, interesting as it is, the only drawback of the mouse is that it isn’t rechargeable and requires an AA battery to work. It comes with a USB receiver that plugs into your desktop or laptop and supports Bluetooth connectivity.
What is the Logi AI Prompt AI Builder tool?
The Logi AI Prompt Builder can do everything from rephrasing parts of text in a document, to presenting the same in bullet points, and even elongating text, should you want to do that.
The tool, which is backed by ChatGPT, doesn’t require a ChatGPT Plus subscription to access it. However, Logitech suggests users stay logged out of their ChatGPT accounts all the same, while accessing it. This is because the Logi Prompt AI Builder also comes with a set number of prompts allotted to users, and using ChatGPT via the tool while logged in, accounts towards these allotments.

A workaround to this is staying logged out, which Logitech says, gives a user an unlimited number of prompts.
There are a couple of things to remember here though. One, the Logi AI Prompt Builder tool understands only English for now, although the company is working to roll out support for multiple languages on it shortly.
Secondly, you don’t require the M750 AI edition mouse to access the tool, but you do need a Logitech device, as the Prompt builder is part of the company’s bundled Logi Options Plus software.
Lastly, though the mouse can be used to access the Prompt Builder and works only with ChatGPT for now, Logitech is also going to be adding support for other chatbots such as Google’s Gemini, and hopefully, Microsoft Copilot soon.
Logitech Signature AI Edition M750 Mouse pricing
The new Logitech Signature AI Edition M750 Mouse is currently available only in the USA and UK with a price tag of $49.99 (approximately Rs 4,200). It remains to be seen when this mouse reaches our shores.
