LG XBoom portable speakers launched for indoor and outdoor parties

No party is complete without good music; we all know it. Good music also requires a good speaker. Well, bearing the same in mind, LG has just introduced two new additions to its XBoom range of party speakers — the XL7S and the XL5S. Here’s all you need to know.

LG XBoom XL7S: Features and key specifications

The LG XBoom XL7S has an output of 250W. It features two 6.35 cm dome tweeters, and a 20.3 cm woofer. The speaker also comes with dedicated inputs for microphones and guitars. LG claims that the speaker offers a playback time of up to 20 hours at a stretch, on a full charge. It also says that the speaker can be charged from 0 to 100 per cent in about 3.5 hours.

What’s cool is, the speaker is easily portable, owing to its telescopic handle and wheels. The fact that it also tilts back, enabling one to drag it along the way one would with their luggage, in an airport. This means that the speaker can be used for wild house parties as well as those by the pool, as one may like.

The LG XBoom XL7S also comes with an animated pixel display, which can showcase personalised texts and pre-set animations on the LED panel. What’s more, it also features multi-colour ring lights, which can be synced to change colour with the beats of the music. Additionally, there’s also a double strobe lighting feature, which helps further add to the experience. The LG XBoom XL7S also has other cool features, including a DJ pad and a DJ loop. The former helps one control the beats of the music being played, while the latter allows one to mix tracks.

The speaker also has an IPX4 water resistance rating, meaning it can handle the occasional spills and splashes with ease.

LG XBoom XL5S: Features and key specifications

The LG XBoom XL5S on the other hand, offers a marginally lower 200W output. It features the same 6.35 cm dome tweeters, and a very powerful, albeit slightly smaller, 16.51 cm woofer.

The speaker comes with vibrant party lighting and a double strobe lighting feature as well. Using the “My Pick” feature from the XBoom app, one can also put together a personalised light and sound show, in their own homes. The speaker even allows for karaoke sessions, via dedicated ports in-built for microphones and guitars. The speaker, LG says, offers a battery life of up to 12 hours at a stretch.

Similar to its larger sibling XL7S, the XL5S also comes with in-built handles for easy portability and also features an IPX4 water-resistance rating.

LG XBoom XL7S and XL5S pricing and availability

The new LG XL7S party speaker is priced at Rs 39,990, while the XL5S is priced at Rs 30,990. Both speakers can be purchased from LG’s website as well as all other major e-commerce portals and partner retail outlets across India.
