CES 2023: LG soundbar lineup is here to up your AV experience

With just a few weeks to go for Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2023, South Korean tech giant LG Electronics has announced its soundbar lineup for the next year. Highlights for the lineup includes two models, the SC9 and SE6.

LG SC9, SE6 features, specifications

The new SC9 and SE6 soundbars will be offered with seamless integration with LG TV’s , which provides for a more immersive auditory experience. When paired, users can make use of LG’s WOW Orchestra, a tool which utilises the soundbars’ audio channels to recreate a live concert-like experience with increased depth, power and sound surround. LG has announced that the feature however, will arrive after launch via an over-the-air (OTA) software update. Once synced with the TV via Wi-Fi, the WOW tool along with other audio settings can be accessed through the home dashboard on the TV’s display, providing for a wire-free, and therefore hassle-free experience.

In addition to the WOW Orchestra feature, users will also have a more enjoyable listening experience using LG’s Triple Sound Optimizer – a feature which intelligently boosts the new soundbars’ performance, and via the Smart Up-mixer, which converts two-channel audio into multi-channel surround.

The speakers are also capable of tailoring audio output as per the space with their enhanced AI Room Calibration which analyses the room, and then using that information, alters the soundbars’ settings to deliver sound with greater precision. What’s more, the LG soundbars are also offered with an AI Sound Pro feature. This feature allows for the soundbars to analyse the content audio signals of the content being consumed – whether it is movies, sporting events, games or music, and automatically apply the most appropriate settings.

Design

LG’s SC9 and SE6 soundbars have been designed around its TVs, with the objective of giving users an enjoyable experience in a sleek and well-designed package. To integrate the look of the soundbar with the TV and its surroundings, LG will be including mounting hardware with its soundbars, allowing users to install them directly below their TVs without having to drill holes into their walls. Furthermore, these brackets will also be adjustable, therefore allowing you to position the speaker at the most optimal location.
