Lenovo Yoga Book 9i launched with dual-OLED displays: Everything you need to know

Lenovo is one of the top brands when it comes to innovating on the form factor of the conventional laptop, and the new Lenovo Yoga Book 9i is a perfect example of that. Stepping up from the conventional laptop form factor, the Yoga Book 9i comes with two OLED display panels and no built-in keyboard. Here’s everything you need to know about this new and unconventional Lenovo Yoga Book 9i.

Lenovo Yoga Book 9i Features

The Lenovo Yoga Book 9i can be used in a laptop mode, a tablet mode and a tent mode. The laptop mode lets you use the machine like a normal laptop, where an on-screen keyboard and trackpad will pop up on one of the two displays. The keyboard may not be a physical one, but it will still offer you haptic feedback when typing.

In tablet mode, you can use the two 13.3-inch display panels horizontally, where you get the perks of two displays stacked on top of each other, or vertically, where the laptop will effectively show one large screen, albeit with a division in the middle. In tent mode, you can use the Folio stand that comes with the laptop to stack the two display halves on top of each other while you connect the Bluetooth keyboard below and use the two screens and a physical keyboard independently. This keyboard is bundled with the package, and so is the Lenovo Digital Pen 3 stylus and a Bluetooth mouse.

Its abilities make the Lenovo Yoga Book 9i a great option for creators who can leverage the dual-displays perfectly within tools like Photoshop or Premiere Pro. Being a compact and lightweight machine, the laptop can also be carried around easily on trips and in college campuses.

However, the laptop may still not be very ideal for everyone due io its limitations in the I/O department. The Yoga Book 9i comes with only three USB-C ports which take care of everything from charging to data transfers. For any other needs like for reading a memory card, users will have to shell out extra money to get an external USB hub.

Lenovo Yoga Book 9i specifications

The Lenovo Yoga Book 9i comes with 13th Gen Intel processors and is built on the Intel Evo platform, which guarantees a standard of specifications and features. The laptop also features 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB NVMe SSD storage. Additionally, it comes with Intel Iris Xe graphics. It weighs light and comes in at only 1.34kg.

The highlight however, are the two 13.3-inch 2.8K OLED displays, each of which comes with 400 nits brightness and Dolby Vision HDR support. The laptop also features Wi-Fi 6E, three USB Type-C ports and a Thunderbolt 4 port. Lastly, the whole unit is powered by an 80Wh battery. The Lenovo Yoga Book 9i price starts at Rs 2,24,990 in India.

Still thinking about which laptop to buy? While the Lenovo Yoga Book 9i is a futuristic take on the design of laptops, it isn’t the only machine in its class. If you’re looking at an all-screen laptop, you can also consider the Asus Zenbook 17 Fold which comes with a larger, and more importantly, a connected dual-screen design. However, if the all-screen design is not for you, there are also a number of other brilliant laptops you can purchase in this segment, like the Asus ROG Strix G16, which is a full-fledged gaming laptop, or the Apple MacBook Pro M2 Pro, one of the most powerful MacBooks out there right now.
