Taking notes in college, sketching, gaming, or watching a film is what usually comes to mind when one thinks of a tablet. What if we told you though, Lenovo has launched a new offering tailored specifically for music lovers in India? Meet the new Lenovo Tab Plus.

Lenovo Tab Plus key features

Lenovo’s latest tablet, the Tab Plus, gets a 26W stereo-surround sound setup, with as many as eight JBL Hi-Fi speakers. To put things into perspective, most budget and mid-range TVs get a dual-speaker setup with an output of up to 20W.

Now, four of these speakers are matrix tweeters, while four of them are woofers. It also gets Dolby Atmos support, along with high-resolution audio. That’s not the coolest bit, though. The Lenovo Tab Plus can also be used as a Bluetooth speaker, allowing you to stream music on it directly from your smartphone or any other device.

There’s also personalised app volume control. What this does, is automatically adjust the sound output on the Lenovo tablet according to the app you’re using. For example, while using apps such as Spotify or YouTube Music, it boosts the volume, whereas while using browsers such as Chrome, it reduces it.

The Tab Plus is backed by an 8,600mAh battery, which Lenovo claims, allows for up to 12 hours of non-stop streaming. There’s also support for 45W fast charging, which the company says, lets you charge the tablet fully in only 90 minutes.

Coming to optics, the Lenovo Tab Plus gets a single 8MP camera on the rear, and an 8MP unit on the front as well, for selfies and video calls. Connectivity options on the device include Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.2, along with a 3.5mm audio jack for those who like to listen to their tunes the old school way.
