Handhelds are growing in popularity, but they are not the only large-screen products built for gaming. With the right specifications, a tablet can potentially be a great handheld as well. Lenovo gets this, and the brand’s latest launch in India – the Lenovo Legion Tab is the perfect example of this.
The Lenovo Legion Tab comes with specifications geared towards gaming, including a new processor and more. Here’s everything you need to know.
Lenovo Legion Tab: What’s new?
The Lenovo Legion Tab comes with an 8.8-inch QHD+ display with 144Hz refresh rate. This makes the Legion Tab refresh as fast as most gaming monitors and gaming laptops around. The tablet also comes with a QHD (2560 x 1600) resolution for crisp visuals in the games you play on it.

Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB storage, which can further be expanded to 1TB. While the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 isn’t the newest performance chipset around, it is powerful enough for nearly all Android games you can play.
Along with this, Lenovo has thrown in a Legion ColdFront cooling system for keeping the temperatures in check when running resource-heavy games.
The tablet is 7.6mm thin and weighs 350 grams. It features a 6,550mAh battery and comes with 45W fast wired charging support via its USB Type-C port. This port can also be used to connect the tablet to accessories like gaming mice and keyboards.
Along with all this, the tablet is weirdly launching with the outdated Android 13 out of the box. Lenovo has made no official statement on the number of updates the tablet will receive either, so we don’t know if the Lenovo Legion Tab will get any updates.

The Lenovo Legion Tab is priced at Rs 39,999, and will be available from August 15 from the Lenovo website and select retailers. While you don’t have a lot of gaming tablets around, you can also consider handhelds like the Asus ROG Ally if budget is not a constraint, which offers the Windows platform instead, bringing a much wider selection of AAA games.
