When you think gaming, you mostly think of either consoles, high-end desktops and laptops, or smartphones. Seldom do tablets come to mind, in most markets the world over.

Well, that may be all set to change, for Lenovo is all set to launch its Legion Android gaming tablet in select markets across EMEA and Asia. Here’s all you need to know about Lenovo’s gamer-centric Legion Tab.

Lenovo Legion Tab: Features and key specifications

The latest offering from Lenovo, the Legion Tab gets a Snapdragon 8 Gen+ Gen 1 processor with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of storage. Storage on the tablet can also be expanded up to 1TB via the microSD card slot.

The Legion Tab packs a large 6,550mAh battery, supporting 45W quick charge. There’s also a “charging bypass” feature, which helps keep temperatures in check while charging the tablet and gaming simultaneously.

Speaking of keeping temperatures in check, the tablet gets an oversized vapor chamber to keep things cool by modifying the tablet’s performance across three different modes. Namely – Beast, Balanced, and Energy-Saving mode.

The Legion Tab sports an 8.8-inch display with a QHD+ resolution and a high refresh rate of 144Hz. Also, all of this is packed in a chassis that weighs only 350 grams, and is only 76mm thin, providing for easy portability.

The tab is equipped with a 13MP primary sensor and a secondary 2MP shooter at the rear, while at the front, on offer is an 8MP sensor.

What’s cool is, that the USB Type-C port on the Legion Tab also gets DisplayPort 1.4 support, using which gamers can connect the tablet to a much larger display such as their TVs.

That’s not all. Lenovo Freestyle support on the tablet also means that users can seamlessly share files and cross-game across the Legion Tab as well as a Lenovo Legion laptop. What’s more, the tablet is also compatible with and allows users to hook it up with other Legion monitors, mice, keyboards, and headsets.

Other connectivity options on the tablet also include Wi-Fi 6E support, as well as Bluetooth 5.3.

Lenovo Legion Tab: Pricing and availability

The Lenovo Legion Tab is available in a single Storm Grey colour, and can be purchased at a starting price of €599 (approximately Rs 54,282). The tablet, as mentioned above, will be making its way to and be available to buy in select markets in EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa), as well as Asia starting this month itself.

However, whether it will be making its way to India, remains unknown as of yet. Gamers in the country then, may have to wait a tad longer to find out if they will be able to get their hands on the latest gaming-focused Android tablet from Lenovo.
