German camera manufacturer Leica recently rolled out its compact digital camera called D-Lux 8, six years after the launch of its predecessor. With a fresh, new look and an updated UI, Leica has made the premium camera experience available for a lot more users with its affordable price range. Leica D-Lux 8 camera: What's there to know?
For starters, the D-Lux 8 gets a new, textured finish and stays close to the iconic Leica look. The camera is built to be compact, easier to hold and it now features significantly fewer physical controls. These controls go hand in hand with the D-Lux 8’s redesigned user interface. The brand also mentioned how they are ergonomically repositioned to stay more user-friendly.

The camera features a 4/3″ CMOS sensor with 21MP (17MP effective). It also gets a bright Leica DC Vario-Summilux lens featuring 10.9-34mm f/1.7-2.8 ASPH, along with an attachable flash. The brand goes on to mention how this is also the first camera which allows users to choose between flexible DNG and JPEG formats.
Apart from these, the camera gets a bunch of other accessories, including a hand grip, carrying straps, wrist straps, and leather protectors that can be purchased in multiple colours. Users can additionally invest in a lens cap, soft release buttons, and a selection of bags, including a hip bag, crossbody bag, and equipment bag for the camera.

The Leica D-Lux 8 is available online at www.leica-store.in or offline at the Leica India store and can be purchased at Rs 1,54,990.
