iQOO Z9 Turbo announced with Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, large battery

iQOO has announced a new gaming smartphone dubbed the iQOO Z9 Turbo. The smartphone comes with a 144Hz smooth display, a Snapdragon 8 series chipset, and a large battery, all at a budget price point. Additionally, it also has a dedicated cooling system, allowing you to play games without any excessive heat.

iQOO Z9 Turbo specifications and features

The iQOO Z9 Turbo features the standard iQOO design, with a flat screen on the front and a protruded camera island on the rear. The device has a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate support for smooth scrolling.

At the helm, it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and a 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. It also houses a large 6,400mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging.

There’s a triple-rear camera system on the rear with a 50MP Sony LYT-600 main sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide unit. Although it’s a gaming device, iQOO has offered support for optical image stabilisation here, which is great for taking stable footage. Upfront, it has a 16MP sensor for video calls and selfies.

The iQOO Z9 Turbo is priced starting at CNY 1,899 (about Rs 22,300) for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. The top-of-the-line variant with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage costs CNY 2,399 (about Rs 28,200).
