iQOO 13 5G with Snapdragon 8 Gen Elite chipset launched in India

iQOO has launched a new flagship smartphone in India dubbed the iQOO 13 5G. The smartphone succeeds the iQOO 12 5G from a year ago, and comes with solid specifications and features. Some of its highlights include a large 144Hz refresh rate, 50MP triple cameras, and a Snapdragon 8 Gen Elite chipset.

iQOO 13 5G specifications and features

The iQOO 13 5G features an identical design when compared to the iQOO 12 5G. The smartphone has a squarish camera island on the rear and boasts a large screen on the front. It sports a 6.82-inch LTPO AMOLED display with 2K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling.

In terms of cameras, it is equipped with a triple-rear camera system with a 50MP Sony IMX921 main lens with OIS support. It is assisted by a 50MP Samsung JN1 ultrawide sensor and a 50MP Sony IMX816 telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom. Upfront, it has a 32MP camera for selfies.

Powering the device is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which is currently the latest and the most powerful smartphone chipset from Qualcomm. iQOO has also offered the Q2 chipset inside, which is a dedicated chipset for gaming. It also has a 7,000 sq mm vapour chamber for for dissipating heat.

The device has 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 internal storage. As for the battery, it packs a mammoth 6,000mAh cell with support for 120W fast charging technology. The smartphone also comes with added features like an IP68 and IP69 rating for dust and water resistance.

It also has an in-display fingerprint scanner for added security. As for connectivity, it has 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and GPS. It features a USB Type-C port for charging and file transfer. It’s a USB 3.2 Gen 2 port, which means file transfers will be quick.

The iQOO 13 5G runs on Android 15 OS out of the box with Funtouch OS 15 on top. iQOO has promised four years of Android and five years of security updates, which means you will get updates till 2029.

iQOO 13 5G price and availability

The iQOO 13 5G is priced at Rs 54,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. The 16GB RAM and 512GB storage variant costs Rs 59,999. The device has two colour options to choose from, namely, Legend and Nardo Grey. The device will be available for purchase from December 11.

While the device looks like a great flagship smartphone, you can also consider its alternatives in the same range, like the Realme GT 7 Pro or the OnePlus 12 5G, which comes with an older Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, but will likely offer better long-term software support compared to the iQOO.
