iOS 18 is bringing several new features to supported iPhones, and while some of them are big additions, like the ability to use eye-tracking to navigate through the device, others are smaller additions that add a lot of value.
The latest of these is a tweak to the iPhone stock camera interface that lets you capture videos when you have some audio playing. As per a report by 9to5mac, iOS 18 will let you do both.

For context, iPhones have always paused audio playback from a music or video being streamed. While handy in its own right when you want to listen to the subject/surroundings, there was no way to get around this default mechanism when you actually needed some audio to go with your clip.
How iOS 18 fixes this problem
By allowing users to let an audio play, be it from a YouTube video, a Spotify track, or even your own recorded Voice Memo, iOS 18 lets iPhone users take videos with the said audio playing in the background.
This lets you do things like capture your friend dancing while the song plays on your own phone, eliminating the need for a separate speaker. Of course, for when you want to silent-record, you can always just long-press on the Dynamic Island or pull down the Control Centre and pause the music yourself.

The change is likely only available on the iOS 18 beta build right now, but should be a part of the stable iOS 18 update for all supported iPhones in the months to come, along with other iOS 18 features we are all waiting for.
