Apple is known for introducing new emojis from time to time to its devices. While some put a spotlight on inclusivity, many are added simply to add a fun element to your grocery lists.
Earlier this year, the brand brought the shaking heads, phoenix and lime emojis, among other additions, to the iPhone. This time around, Apple is bringing in seven new characters for ease of communication, and here’s what you should know about them.
7 new emojis coming to your iPhone with the iOS 18 update
Apple has announced seven new emojis in compliance with the Unicode Consortium. The new collection will first be tested in beta review before it is rolled out to the public.
One of the emojis announced includes a face with baggy eyes, which seems to be ideal for a Monday morning. Apart from that, Apple has thrown in a fingerprint emoji. It has also included a leafless tree, which depicts the fall, and a root vegetable that will surely make it to your ingredient list while cooking.

Apart from these, there will also be a paint-splatter emoji, a shovel, as well as a harp emoji that will be a great addition to those bizarre group conversations.
When will the new emojis be available on your iPhone?
It often takes a while before new emojis reach the larger audience, as they require a course of approvals. However, the new addition may make it to your iPhones a few weeks after iOS 18 officially rolls out.
