iOS 18.3 coming soon: What new features to expect on your iPhone

Apple has been introducing a number of new features with iOS 18 and its subsequent updates. The brand recently introduced iOS 18.2, which came with ChatGPT support for Siri, Genmoji, Image Playground and other features. This was followed by iOS 18.2.1 which brought a few bug fixes to supported devices.

Now, Apple is already working on its next feature update – iOS 18.3. Here’s a quick look at all the major features and changes you can expect when the update rolls out to your iPhone.

Apple iOS 18.3: What to expect?

Apple is rumoured to introduce a new ‘Invites’ app with iOS 18.3. Code that points to the new application was first spotted by the folks at 9to5Mac, and it suggests Apple’s new app could help people out with large-scale event and meeting invitations.

The Invite app could bring in more features than what Apple’s standard Calendar app already offers. It may also offer additional functionality by linking up with a user’s iCloud account.

There are no other major changes that have been noticed with the update yet, but considering we still have weeks for the update and that a stable iOS 18.3 update is not expected in January, further beta versions of the firmware could point to more features.

These could also include new additions to Apple Intelligence, like more advanced modifying options within the Writing Tools feature, which is currently limited to few options. We may also get more ChatGPT abilities which are now baked into Siri, as well as support for more languages for these features, which are currently largely limited to English (US) and English (UK).

You can always check your iOS version (and whether an update is available on your iPhone) by heading to the Settings app and navigating to the General/Software Update page.
