Apple is rolling out the much-awaited iOS 18.1 update for its iPhones. The update gives users the first taste of Apple Intelligence, with features like writing tools, conversational Siri, and more. But there are some AI features that are yet to roll out, and those will reportedly come with the next iOS 18.2 update.
Now, a new report claims that this iOS 18.2 update is set to roll out sometime in December, packed with the additional Apple Intelligence features.
What to expect from iOS 18.2
This upcoming iOS update is set to bring a host of new features, including ChatGPT integration with Siri. This means users can ask Siri to generate an image or response for you via ChatGPT. Further, it will also bring Genmoji that will allow you to create custom emoji based on text inputs.
Users will also get the Image Playground feature that can let you create custom images based on text inputs. While iOS 18.1 brings some writing tools, iOS 18.2 will add more new writing tools like ‘Compose’ and ‘Describe your change’.

Moreover, the Visual Intelligence feature will arrive for the iPhone 16, which will allow you to ask ChatGPT about an image or whatever that your camera sees. The update will also add the Image Wand feature that turns sketches into full images in the Notes app.
While these are all the Apple Intelligence features you will be seeing in iOS 18.2, they won’t end here. More new features are set to be released in 2025. This includes a better Siri with personal context and Priority Notifications, among other features.
These features are expected to roll out via the iOS 18.3 and iOS 18.4 updates next year. While the new Apple Intelligence features are coming, note that only iPhone 15 Pro and later models also will support them.
