Instagram, Snapchat will now let you enjoy Samsung Galaxy S24’s full camera quality

Samsung has taken the wraps off the latest Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra smartphones, which now offer an exciting host of upgraded features. While the new flagship smartphones essentially use the same camera hardware as the predecessors, Samsung has included a notable update for its Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra.

Apart from this, the brand has also revealed that the new smartphones are equipped to provide better image quality owing to their AI capabilities. But while Android smartphones have a bad reputation for compressing photos for social media apps, you might not have to worry about that with the Galaxy S24 series this year.

Samsung Galaxy S24 series: Collaboration with Instagram and Snapchat

At last night’s Galaxy Unpacked 2024 event, Samsung went on to mention of its partnership with social media apps like Instagram and Snapchat. This will mean the apps will now allow users to keep the high-quality photographs taken on their Galaxy S24 intact when posting them online.

So, if you’ve been missing Samsung’s native camera experiences on social media, the S24 series will let you use features such as Super HDR, video stabilisation, and nightography, on your apps.

Before Samsung introduced this update, apps like Instagram or Snapchat would only render a screenshot of your smartphone camera’s viewfinder. This would mean it lost all the processing and significantly compressed into a lower-quality photo, no matter the smartphone you use. 

Samsung Galaxy S24 series: What else is new with the partnership?

Samsung also mentions how it is now possible to have an upgraded editing, viewing and posting experience, owing to its partnership with Instagram. During the presentation, the brand also stated that every photo or video taken on Galaxy S24 phones will be able to display a full range of colours and contrast support for Super HDR images.

With this, the Samsung Galaxy S24 series will be the first-ever smartphone camera to have HDR-quality images on Instagram.
