With a new feature, Instagram is reminding us that 2024 is coming to a close very soon. After Spotify Wrapped and Apple Music Replay, Instagram is also introducing the recap 2024 feature for users to share the top moments of the year with their friends, family, and followers.
The “EoY-themed Collages” is being rolled out on Instagram Stories that will allow users to creatively say goodbye to the year. Gear up as a variety of templates and effects are making their way to your Instagram handle to be a part of your Stories.
Recap 2024 on Instagram
The new feature will allow users to showcase their favourite moments and add it to a collage and share it on your story. The users can even combine a bunch of pictures from all over the year that are available on their smartphone and share it with their friends and followers.
Users can choose from various themed fonts to elevate their stories. For instance, there’s a neon “How 2024 Started” that can be paired with “How 2024 Ended” to showcase the highlights of the year. There are various stickers for Happy New Year or countdowns that is preparing users for the year-end.

You can also try sending “Happy New Year” or “Hello 2025” in DMs or a group chat, as it will cause a new special effect on-screen. There are a few end-of-year-themed “Add Yours” templates that will allow your friends to reply to your story with one of their own.
This feature will have a gradual rollout so some users may receive it before others. The feature will stick around till the first week of 2025 so you do not have to worry if you have not received the feature yet. To receive such updates, subscribe to Unboxed by Croma.
