Instagram now allows public comments on stories

While comments on Instagram stories were previously received as DMs, the new feature allows users to comment on someone’s story which will now be visible to all other followers. The comments will disappear along with the story in 24 hours.

By posting a reel on their official Instagram account, the ‘Stories comment’ is now officially available to use.

Instagram stories comment: Limitations

In order to prevent trolling, Instagram has added a few limitations to the feature. Only the profiles that the user follows back is allowed to comment on the stories. Also, the comments will only be visible to users who mutually follow the profile that uploaded the story. However, if the story is saved as a highlight on the profile, the comment will be retained.

While introducing the public comments feature, Instagram holds on to the feature that allows the user to disable comments on a per-story basis.

The comments will appear along the bottom of the story frame but above the function controls like comment or like.

Instagram: A quick roundup on new features

Instagram recently also launched creator Lab in India that helps you to use the tricks to tool efficiently. You can add up to 20 images and videos in a single post with multiple songs. Users can even add a song to their profile.
