Instagram has introduced five custom Halloween Add Yours Templates that have been introduced for users to collaborate with their friends and create something new. Moreover, users can add the limited-edition Halloween templates from the ‘Happy Halloween’ section within the ‘Add Yours Template Discovery’ area on their Stories. These templates allow users to join the trend by sharing videos and photos from their smartphones on Instagram.

AI-generated Costumes

In a new twist, Instagram offers the ‘Imagine Yourself as…’ feature in Stories that is powered by Meta AI. This feature allows users to digitally dress up as Halloween classics like vampires, witches, and other characters. Instagram users can create Halloween posters and their own Halloween avatars and share them directly on their stories and posts, providing a playful edge on the platform.

Apart from these features, Instagram has also introduced a secret phrases feature that can be used in DMs for spooky animations and effects. If users were to use phrases such as Happy Halloween or Trick or Treat, they would appear on the platform in orange. The ones who receive the message will see a Halloween-themed animation in their inbox. That’s not all, Halloween-themed emojis like the pumpkin and ghosts, will also trigger animations.
