Insta360 X4 BMW Motorrad Limited Edition camera announced

Known for capturing adventure sports in 360-degree view, Insta360 has announced its latest limited edition action camera, the Insta360 X4 BMW Motorrad.

In collaboration with BMW Motorrad, Insta360 has come with a new edition that offers some impressive AI features. If that’s not all, it also supports up to 8K resolution along with capturing a 360-degree panoramic view. Here are some features to look out for:

Since it is a limited edition, the action camera showcases similar features as the standard version. However, the major difference lies in the design. This limited edition camera comes with a BMW Motorrad branding on the back along with the included case.

It sports a 2.5-inch touch-supported display which can used by gestures as well as voice controls. It measures 46.0×123.6×37.6mm in size and weighs around 203g. It comes with a 2,290mAh battery that is said to offer up to 135 minutes of 5.7K video recording at 60fps on a single charge. It has received an IPX4 rating which also allows 10m of water resistance.

The action camera provides two protective lenses. It features a half-inch 72MP CMOS sensor that supports 8K resolution, which means this camera can capture clear visuals without compromising on the image quality. It provides an improved 60fps which is ideal to capture live-action sports or scenes where a lot of motion is involved. To capture cinematic slow motion, you can even drop it down to 4K at 100fps.

Powered by a new 5nm AI chip, the camera also gets artificial intelligence capabilities. With AI-powered reframing tools in the Insta360 app, users can just hit record and find the perfect shot later. The limited edition action camera allows users to choose the best angles after recording. The camera supports features like Invisible Selfie Stick, 360-degree horizon lock, and Flow State stabilisation. A new HDR video mode brings out details and maintains stabilisation for action sports. Active HDR will boost the colours in the highlights and shadows that other action cameras tend to miss out on.

Another mode, the 4K 60fps uses the X4 as a traditional action camera with Single-Lens Mode. Users can even switch to ultra-wide with MaxView in FreeFrame Video which features a 170-degree view in 4K 30fps.

The Insta360 X4 BMW Motorrad limited edition is priced at CNY 3,649 (roughly Rs 43,500). The action camera has been introduced in China. It is important to note that the brand had not mentioned when the device would make its way to other countries.
