Today, 360 cameras are all the rage, as they’re ideal for capturing all the space around you, along with giving your footage the stability it needs. To cater to this, Insta360 has introduced its latest 360-degree action camera — the X4 — that can now shoot videos in 8K at 30 frames per second. But that’s not all; the camera, which is a successor to the Insta360 X3, also comes equipped with a bunch of cool new AI features. Here’s everything you need to know:
Insta360 X4: Key features and specifications to look out for
The action camera now promises an improved resolution powered by a new 5nm AI chip. The chipset will essentially work towards fetching you a detailed output without compromising on the colour. For vloggers or extreme sports enthusiasts, the Insta360 now gives you a recording of 5.7K at 60 frames and 4K at 100 frames. This means slow-motion shots or moving targets have just gotten easier with the help of the camera.

Insta360 has also harnessed AI technology and enabled reframing features, which users can utilise to find the perfect angle post-shoot. There is also an added option of ‘Me Mode’, which helps blur the selfie stick for third-person shots and those incredible drone-like POVs. Lastly, the camera also offers FlowState stabilisation for an ultra-smooth output, no matter the intensity of your adventure.
The camera comes with a revolutionary removable lens guard that can give the device protection against harsh climatic conditions. The Insta360 X4 also comes with a larger screen, as opposed to its predecessor, and comes with a scratch-resistant 2.5-inch touchscreen display.
Insta360 X4: Pricing and availability
It remains to be seen when the Insta360 X4 camera will be available for the Indian market. However, the action camera, for now, is available globally at $650 (roughly Rs 55,000). Until it is available, you can check out the Insta360 X3 which comes with enhanced HDR technology and a similar set of features.
