If picturing a camera gave you the image of a bulky, unwieldy gadget, Insta360’s new offering is set to change that for you. The brand recently announced the Insta360 Go 3S, which is a thumb-sized action camera that can help you capture incredible POVs. But the compact design isn’t all that it gets, the new camera comes with enhanced water resistance and a bunch of other upgrades. Here’s everything you need to know about the offering:

Insta360 Go 3S: Key features to look out for

Unlike its predecessor, the Insta360 Go 3S can shoot up to 4K 30p movies without a hassle. This marks a major upgrade when you compare it with the 2.7K max which was available with the Insta360 Go 3. The company has also provided 50 per cent more CPU computing power, along with a new wide-angle lens, that is equipped to capture surroundings with maximum detail.

For a true-to-life POV capture, Insta360 Go 3S also allows users to switch between aspect ratios and get a hands-free handling experience. The camera is designed fit for the outdoors and the company has added a FlowState Stabilization feature to minimise bumps on your way. Apart from that, the action camera also comes water resistant up to 33 feet, as opposed to the GO 3, which offers only 16 feet.

To get rid of accidental fumbling, Insta360 has also added in gesture and voice controls that make it easy to navigate through the camera. If that’s not all, the captured footage can also be combined using the AI-powered Auto Edit feature, no matter the event or outing. Lastly, owing to its size, the Insta360 gets Apple Find My support for instances where you accidentally leave it somewhere.

Insta360 Go 3S: Price and availability

For now, the Insta360 Go 3S is currently only available in the global markets and cannot be purchased in India. However, it is priced at $399 (roughly Rs 33,330) for the 64GB storage variant and $499 (roughly Rs 41,700) for the 128GB storage variant.

Both cameras get a standard bundle which comprises of Action Pod, Magnet Pendant, Easy Clip, Pivot Stand, as well as Lens Guard. You can alternatively consider other options within this price range which offer a similar set of features, such as the GoPro Hero12 or the DJI Pocket 2.
