Infinix Zero Flip 5G is an affordable foldable phone with dual AMOLED screens and AI

Infinix has officially launched its first clamshell foldable phone in India. The Infinix Zero Flip 5G comes with dual AMOLED screens having 120Hz high refresh rate support. It has a dual-rear camera system and is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity chipset. Let’s see the phone’s specifications, features, and price.

Infinix Zero Flip 5G key specifications and features

The Zero Flip 5G clamshell foldable comes with a tall form factor, featuring a 6.9-inch primary AMOLED display. The primary screen, which is the foldable screen on the inside, has LTPO technology, allowing it to support up to 120Hz refresh rate.

The cover screen on the outside is a 3.64-inch panel with 120Hz refresh rate support. It supports dynamic interactive pets like an alpaca, penguin, brown bear, and others. Users can interact with these pets through mini games. Infinix says that the cover screen supports 100+ apps, including YouTube and Google Maps, among others.

In terms of the cameras, the device gets a dual-rear camera system with a 50MP main lens that is capable of recording 4K videos at 30 FPS. There’s also an ultrawide-angle lens to capture all your friends in one frame. Interestingly, it also has a 50MP selfie snapper that can shoot 4K videos at 60 FPS.

Apart from the camera hardware, Infinix has also offered some camera modes and features to enhance the user experience. There’s Hover Selfies which allows users to capture selfies by partially folding the device. The Dual Preview mode lets you see a preview of what’s being clicked on both the cover and the primary screen.

Infinix has also offered its Prostable technology, allowing you to record stable footage. There’s also a GoPro Mode that lets you seamlessly integrate footage from the GoPro cameras. Further, it has a dedicated Vlog Mode that utilises AI to give you social media-ready content.

Coming to the performance bit, the clamshell foldable phone draws power from a MediaTek Dimensity 8020 octa-core chipset. This is a lower mid-range chipset with Arm Mali-G77 MC9 GPU for graphics. The device has up to 16GB of total RAM, including the extended RAM, and 512GB of internal storage.

As for the battery, it houses a 4,720mAh cell with support for 70W Super Charge technology, allowing you to get quick top-ups. The device also has reverse charging support via the USB-C port.

The device boots Android 14 OS with XOS 14 on top. Other than this, the smartphone comes with a slew of AI features like AI-eraser for the camera and Smart Image Search, among others.

Infinix Zero Flip 5G price and availability 

The Infinix Zero Flip 5G comes at a price of Rs 44,999, inclusive of the bank offers. At this price, the device becomes one of the cheapest clamshell foldable phones.

Notably, Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 6 costs a whopping Rs 1,09,999. So, Infinix’s clamshell foldable is indeed a value-for-money option. If you are interested in purchasing the Zero Flip 5G, you can do that starting October 24 in its first sale.
