HP Spectre x360 gets an AI-powered refresh with new Intel Core Ultra processors

HP’s Spectre-series laptops are some of the best 2-in-1 laptops out there, which are laptops that can also be used as tablets. With a good mix of specifications blended with a versatile design, the Spectre x360 now gets even better with on-device AI capabilities, thanks to Intel Core Ultra processors.

The new laptops are also available in 14-inch and 16-inch variants and were previously announced at CES 2024. Now official in India, here’s all you need to know about the laptops, including price, features and specifications.

HP Spectre x360 2024: What’s new?

The all-new HP Spectre x360 are the first HP laptops to sport a dedicated NPU (Neural Processing Unit) thanks to the Core Ultra chipsets. This will allow the laptops to process AI-powered tasks on-device, making them faster and non-reliant on web speeds.

The laptop can be purchased with either the Intel Core Ultra 5 125H or the Intel Core Ultra 7 155H. This is clubbed with Intel Arc Graphics, and an optional upgrade to the newer Nvidia RTX 4050 GPU.

With up to 32GB RAM and 2TB NVMe SSD storage, the laptops are also loaded for performance. There’s a 68Wh battery with 100W USB Type-C charging. The I/O includes a USB Type-A port, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, one HDMI 2.1 port and an audio jack.

Other features here include a backlit keyboard, quad stereo speakers and DTX: X Ultra support. There is also a 9MP webcam for conferences.

The HP Spectre x360 is available in a 14-inch and a 16-inch variant, both of which offer a 2.8K OLED panel, with multi-touch support, edge-to-edge glass, HDR support and 500nits brightness.

HP Spectre x360 2024: Pricing and availability

The HP Spectre x360 2024 with Intel Core Ultra processors start at Rs 1,64,999 for the 14-inch variant, and Rs 1,79,999 for the 16-inch variant. While the 14-inch variant is available Slate Blue and Nightfall Black colours, the bigger 16-inch variant is available in just the latter.

Other 2-in laptops you can also consider in this segment include the Samsung Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360 which will offer better compatibility with Samsung smartphones, or the Lenovo Yoga 7, which is simply more affordable. However, these models don’t yet have the on-device AI perks offered by Intel Core Ultra chipsets.
