HP EliteBook Ultra G1i, EliteBook X announced with Intel’s AI chipset

HP has introduced a new range of EliteBook laptops at CES 2025. The all-new laptops come with Intel’s latest Ultra-series chipsets, which makes them ready for AI workloads. Aside from AI, these laptops feature crisp screens, like the 3K OLED panel on the Elitebook Ultra G1i, and up to 32GB of RAM.

Here’s everything you need to know about the new range of HP EliteBook AI laptops, from specifications and features to their price and availability.

HP EliteBook series specifications and features

HP’s 2025 slate of EliteBook laptops includes three models – the HP EliteBook Ultra G1i, EliteBook X G1i, and EliteBook X Flip G1i. Starting with the Ultra model, it features a 14-inch OLED display with a 2,880 x 1,880 pixels resolution. It boasts a 9MP webcam for video calls and meetings.

For upscaling your videos calls, there’s AI onboard. The laptop also has quad speakers and ‘studio-quality dual microphones’, as HP say it.

The laptop comes in two variants – touch and non-touch. Both models are under 1.2 Kg and feature a touchpad that offers haptic feedback. This makes it akin to Apple’s MacBooks, but one that runs Windows 11 Pro operating system.

Coming to the HP EliteBook X G1i and the EliteBook X Flip G1i, the former has a 14-inch LCD screen featuring a 1,920 x 1,200 pixels resolution. The Flip model has the same screen size with a 2,560 x 1,600 pixels resolution. And as the name suggests, it has a 360-degree hinge and features a touchscreen for convenience.

Unlike the EliteBook Ultra G1i, both the X series models feature a 5MP webcam. The trio is powered by Intel’s Core Ultra 5 and 7 processors, which are AI-ready chips. There’s up to 32GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. All models are Copilot+ PCs and can handle AI workloads at 48 TOPS (trillion operations per second).
