Though you may have been using an iPhone your whole life, there is a strong possibility of not knowing several things about it. In fact, some trivial things might stump you one day in a crunch situation. One such thing is restarting your iPhone. However, knowing your iPhone better can help you in an emergency when you have no internet access and need to execute this function.

Ways to restart your iPhone

1) The simplest way

The easiest way is to just turn off your phone and then turn it back on. You can simply press and hold either of the volume buttons together with the side button for a bit, and your iPhone will turn off.

To turn it back on, simply press and hold the side button till you see the Apple logo on the screen and then let go.

2) Directly restart your iPhone

Press and quickly release the volume up and volume down buttons one after the other followed by pressing and holding the Side Button till the Apple logo appears on the screen. This will turn off and restart your phone in one go.

3) In case your side button is not working

Press and hold both the volume down button and the sleep/wake button at the same time. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.

4) Without using any physical buttons

Go to the settings menu and scroll down to Accessibility. Now select touch inside Accessibility. Select assistive touch and turn it on.

A small circle will appear on the right side of your screen. Tap on it. Select the device option and then select the more option. Now select restart. A popup confirmation for restart will appear, simply tap on restart.
