How to reset your AirPods and AirPods Pro

If your AirPods aren’t working correctly after you restart them, you can return them to their factory settings. To ensure this happens smoothly, you might have to follow a few steps. Simply do one of the following:

AirPods (all generations) or AirPods Pro (all generations)

To reset your AirPods, start by placing them back into their charging case and closing the lid securely. Wait patiently for about 30 seconds, then open the lid and locate the setup button on the back of the case.

Then, press and hold the setup button for approximately 15 seconds until you see the status light flashing amber, followed by white. This indicates that the reset process is underway.

If your AirPods continue to act up, ensure that the device they’re paired with is up to date. If the issue persists, consider unpairing, restarting, or performing a full reset on your AirPods.

How to unpair your Airpods

If you’re looking to give your AirPods a fresh start by unpairing them, here’s how to do it on different devices:

On iPhone or iPad
