We all have the habit of taking screenshots and saving them for our reference. But wouldn’t it be more helpful if we could record everything? Yes, an iPhone allows users to record screens with the in-built screen recording tool. So, whether you have to create a tutorial or save content, you can simply record the screen and present it to others. If you are wondering how to do it, follow the given steps to screen record on your iPhone.

Steps on how to record screen on iPhone

Since iOS has its own built-in screen recording feature, there will be no need to install external apps. Remember that your iPhone won’t automatically have a screen recording button. To get it, follow the below steps.

Step 1: To get the screen recording button on your iPhone’s control centre, go to Settings. You will see the Control Centre option; click on it and customise your controls. 

Step 2: Find the Screen Recording under ‘More Controls’ and click on the plus sign. This will move the Screen Recording option to the ‘Included Controls’ section.

Step 3: Once done, you will see a grey Record button on your Control Centre.

Step 4: Tap the recording button and wait for the 3-second countdown.

Step 5: Record whatever you want, and to stop the recording, tap the red recording button from the Control Centre. 

Step 6: To view your recording, go to your iPhone’s gallery and select your screen recording.

Steps on how to screen record on iPhone with sound

If you want to add a voice over on the recorded screen, that can also be done with a few simple steps.

Step 1: Access the Control Centre by swiping it down and long-pressing the Screen Recording button in grey.

Step 2: A screen recording pop-up will appear, which will have a microphone button at the bottom.

Step 3: Press the microphone button to enable audio while recording.

Step 4: Tap on Start Recording to begin recording your desired screen. This will capture the recording along with the sound.

Step 5: To stop, swipe down the Control Centre and then tap Stop.

So, these are the steps you must follow to record any screen you want on your iPhone, with or without sound.
